Description
I was on my way home when I saw a beautiful black and white cat lying in the middle of the road in Carrigtwohill at the junction by Costcutters just off the road joining the dual carrigway to Carrigtwohill around 8pm on Monday the 21st of November. The cat was just hit by a car moments ago I reckon. The cat’s leg was still twitching. I stopped and picked up the cat and moved him/her to the side of the road where I called the emergency vet on call. While comforting the cat and talking with the vet the poor cat stopped moving and had died. I wrapped the cat up in a blanket and put it in a box and brought him/her to The Cat Hospital in Glanmire to see if the cat is microchipped. Please if someone in the area is missing a black and white cat please contact Clare Meade at The Cat Hospital. This cat was beautiful and well cared for so someone is missing this sweetheart. I wish I could’ve done more to save this cat but if this is your cat please take comfort that I tried my best and he/she was not alone and was not left on the road.
