2020 has been our busiest year so far by a large margin; the volume of calls we receive has more than doubled, and our shelter and foster network has been continually at full capacity. This has in turn led to a huge increase in veterinary bills, shelter costs, etc., and as an entirely voluntary organisation, your donation is both badly needed and really appreciated. It will be used to support our five core activities:

  • Reuniting lost pets with their owners
  • Providing emergency shelter and veterinary care for stray pets
  • Continuing to vaccinate, microchip and neuter/spay stray cats and dogs
  • Finding loving new homes for abandoned pets
  • Promoting ethical and responsible pet ownership 

Generally, public donations are channeled towards the day-to-day care of the pets in our shelter – veterinary bills, food, etc.

Animal of the Week


Ekin is still waiting for her forever home. She has such a strong personality where she spends all day playing and will come over for cuddles from time to time and even likes to groom us sometimes. The only hurdle with Ekin is that she is incontinent however she wears nappies all day for us without any issues and is just part of her every day life. She has been with our Vets Abbeyville for a long time now , where they all adore her. Please call 0862112850 after 11am, no texts please.

The Munster Lost and Found Pet Helpline is a registered charity based in Cork which seeks to reunite lost pets with their owners through our free helpline and database of lost and found pets in the Munster region.

We offer advice to those who have lost or found a pet. We arrange for emergency shelter for stray pets, and if an owner is not found, we make the dog or cat available for adoption and ensure that a loving new permanent home is found.

Every pet that we rehome is neutered or spayed, as well as being fully vaccinated. Our helpline provides practical advice to all pet owners, as well as those who have lost or found a pet and are unsure of what to do

Since our establishment, we’ve reunited hundreds of pets with their owners, and found devoted new homes for many more. We operate mainly throughout Munster: Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Limerick, Tipperary, and Clare.
