Description

Muffin went out yesterday and hasn’t returned. He is a mackerel tabby with a white patch on his neck. He is 17 years old but looks fairly lively. He was at one time a large cat but in the past 2 years has become quite thin. We live near St. Finbarrs hospital on the main Douglas Road, but have only been here since June, therefore he would not be very familiar with the area. He is much loved and sorely missed

Hello there. On the 9th October at about 12 o’clock I found an injured tabby and white cat lying injured on the road just past St. FInbarr’s hospital. I stopped the car and his head was moving but he was badly injured. I wrapped him in my jacket and rushed him to the nearest vet, who lovingly examined him, and said that he was badly injured, bleeding internally and had to be put to sleep. I don’t know if it was your cat, because you didn’t put up a photo, but he did seem to be an old cat. He was very friendly and trusted me to do the best for him. He purred when I put him in the car and seemed to go to sleep. I have been told about your Lost and Found advert, and it seems too much of a coincidence. If your cat has come home could you let me know. I am sorry if this is your beloved cat, but I can assure you that he got the best of care and love in his last moments. I am a cat lover, with five cats, and I would hope that someone would do the same for mine if they got knocked down. Would you by any chance have a photo of him for me to see. I didn’t take a photo of the injured cat, I didn’t think of it, it was all rush to the vet and get him seen to. Regards, Bridget.
