4 year old stray male cat found

Description

I found a stray tom cat a couple of nights ago in Kinsale.
I brought him to the vet yesterday where he was neutered and given various treatments and blood tests. He had some teeth extracted etc.

The vet believes him to be c.4 years old though he looks much older from a hard life on the streets fighting with other cats.

I would absolutely love to keep him as he has the sweetest nature in the world and is so gentle and friendly. He purrs when you put eye drops into his eyes – he is so grateful to have a home.

My predicament lies in the fact that he has been tested FIV positive (but thankfully FeLV negative).
I have two other cats in my apartment who are FIV negative. My apartment consists of two small rooms leading to the outdoors.
I have had to keep this stray tom (Henry) locked in my bedroom for his recovery but also to protect my cats from FIV.

Is there anyway that someone who has an FIV cat and would like another or someone who is looking for an extraordinarily gentle and it seems litter trained cat be interested in this darling? I would find it too cruel to continue secluding him in one room in such a small apartment.

    Hi,
Do your cats go out? If you could keep this little guy as an indoor cat, there is absolutely no reason why he couldn’t live with your two cats.

If they get on, then the risk of them catching it is virtually nil, unless they have a really big fight.

If this is something you would consider then read up on FIV its not the death sentence that people think.
